It is a 100% transparent, brand-safe programmatic marketplace that acts as a bridge between the needs of the publisher, the marketer and the wishes of the user.

What you’ll do

AAX is a game changer so, can you change the game? As our Sales Director, US (this role is based in New York City or San Francisco), your main task will be to find and establish partnerships with new publishers interested in joining the Acceptable Ads initiative. As part of our Acceptable Ads Exchange Team, you will engage in conversations with relevant parties from the ad tech world and get them excited to join AAX in encouraging true innovation and nonintrusive ad standards, backed with a cutting edge product that will also help them to meaningfully increase their revenue.

After your morning coffee, you’ll be expected to…

  • Build and grow relationships with supply advertising partners (primarily direct publishers)
  • Develop and execute the AAX sales strategy for the supply side of the business, together with the VP of Sales and the global AAX team
  • Identify and prioritize business leads and opportunities within salesforce.com
  • Build and own strategic partnerships
  • Create sales presentations based on internal numbers, ad tech market trends and industry knowledge
  • Contribute to the overall AAX communications and branding strategy
  • Represent AAX at relevant industry events
  • Travel both domestically and internationally

To be successful in this role, you need…

  • Direct experience working at/with SSPs
  • Experience in the advertising sales industry
  • Established network of contacts in the media publishing  industry and/or ad tech
  • 5+ years of relevant online advertising experience
  • 5+ years experience in a business development role, account manager role or similar
  • Experience promoting technology products in a business or partnership development role
  • Cross-functional communication skills with technical, legal and marketing stakeholders
  • Comfortable performing in a very dynamic environment and setting own targets
  • Availability to travel (up to 25%) domestically and internationally
